Participant::Cruz’ body language speaks volumes. It would only be more obvious if he were to be on his knees either kissing Trump’s ass or sucking his dick.

Participant::Nationalism certainly isn’t your worst choice, but a better choice could be its kissing cousin Patriotism. While it historically included pride and protection of a single national ethnicity the modern usage that is not true today. Nationalism is not a dirty word unless you want it to be.
Gee, that’s what Adolf said, right?

Participant::Let’s start with the Oxford Dictionary definition of “nationalism.” Which is:
A person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.
Trump said there is a way to settle political disagreements peacefully, it’s called voting.
“That’s what we want,” he said. “As part of a larger national effort to bridge our divides and bring people together, the media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories. Have to do it. Have to do it.”

Keymaster::Forget about dictionary definition of nationalism. Neither Trump nor any of his deplorables to whom he addresses ever probably never opened a dictionary.
Trump is always talking to his base. Aways. Whether he is in the UN or whether he is in one of his hate rallies, he is talking to his base and they are white nationalists.
So when the racist thug said he is a nationalist, it means white nationalist. Nationalism also leads to ethnic separation with us vs them. And Trump is a master of making white nationalists feel they are actually fucking victims.

Trump says to vote all the while he and his fellow Republicans are doing their best to suppress the right to vote of seniors, people of color and any others they feel might vote against them.
You tell us what Trump says; we tell you what he does.

Participant::From Wikipedia:
In practice nationalism can be seen as positive or negative depending on context and individual perspective. Nationalism has been an important driver in independence movements around the world, such as the Greek Revolution, the Zionist movement that created modern Israel, and the Irish Revolution. It also was a key factor in the Holocaust perpetrated by Nazi Germany, and the establishment of the Confederate States of America whose stated objective was the preservation of white supremacy. More recently, nationalism became an important driver of the controversial annexation of Crimea by Russia. Nationalist economic policies have also been cited as causes for the tragic Opium Wars between the British Empire and the Qing dynasty, and for the severity of the Great Depression in the 1930s.
