Already financially strapped consumers will delay or defer purchases.
If we look at the origin tags of things that we buy and remember what we paid for them to estimate the future cost of these items add 25%.
And also consider that many of these retailers will be out of business as the import tax strangles their businesses.
Final result: More people out of work. Gov loss of both business taxes and sales taxes. As well as a soaring cost of living for average Americans.

Participant::The leftist loons ignore the fact that the tariffs against China affect only China – and incentivize the manufacturers currently in China to re-locate to other countries that do not have tariffs placed on them.
Most companies will figure out that if the same products are being made in other countries that are not subject to the tariffs, they will start using non-China sources. And other countries will seize the opportunity to ramp up their factories to boost their own economies.
Libturd economic analysis is most adept at ignoring reality, as long as it can be seasoned with enough Trump-hatred.
