When I first met Audrey she was very much the child of her parents, staunch conservatives, voting the straight Christian, conservative ticket like the good Texans they are. In our relationship (friends who have grown close and can comfortably say we love one another, not in a romantic way but as dear friends) I was open about what I believed both politically and regarding religion. I wasn’t pushy at all but if she asked a question I tried to be as open and honest as I could be.
