Participant::White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham on Wednesday denied that Trump played any role in the offer of a pardon. “The President barely knows Dana Rohrabacher other than he’s an ex-congressman,” she said in a statement. “He’s never spoken to him on this subject or almost any subject. It is a complete fabrication and a total lie. This is probably another never ending hoax and total lie from the DNC.”

Ah, looks like Rohrabacher was part of the union of coffee boys Trump barely knew.

Ilhan Omar’s Challenger Is Literally on the Run From the Law
It’s not unheard-of for members of Congress to resign their seats because of serious legal trouble. Now Republican House candidate Danielle Stella is trying to achieve the inverse: getting elected to Congress while being wanted by the law.
Stella, one of the five Republicans competing for the right to take on Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) in November, has been wanted for months on an arrest warrant for felony shoplifting. Even while facing arrest, though, she’s managed to achieve a respectable fundraising haul—nearly $84,000 as of the end of 2019—and built up a following on social media, where, well, she’s made some waves.
Stella first stirred the pot in July over tweets suggesting she supports the QAnon conspiracy theory, which claims that Trump is engaged in a ceaseless secret war against high-ranking pedophile-cannibals in the halls of power. At the same time, The Guardian reported that she had been arrested twice in the Minneapolis area’s Hennepin County on shoplifting charges, including an allegation that she stole $2,300 from Target.
Stella insisted she didn’t break the law. According to records, though, Stella failed to show up for multiple October court hearings about her alleged felony. After Stella missed another hearing, a judge issued a still-outstanding warrant for her arrest.
“We can confirm that she does have an active felony theft warrant in Hennepin County,” a spokesman for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office told The Daily Beast.
Stella didn’t respond to requests for comment.
People are contributing to her campaign? Holy fuck!
And this is so Republican.
Tell me again Harpo about your staunch law and order position in spite of Trump pissing on multiple laws and candidates like this.

After Eastwood’s fiasco with the chair in 2012, while I still think he’s a good actor and a very good director I don’t think much of his political acumen. With his track record with women I’m not sure I’d trust his judgment regarding #metoo.

Stella is still less of a criminal than Trump.

Judge dismisses Nunes’ lawsuit against Fusion GPS
A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, filed in 2019 against Fusion GPS, the firm at the heart of the controversy surrounding Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Judge Liam O’Grady of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia wrote in a two-page ruling that Nunes’s complaint was too vague to move forward with a civil case and that the Virginia court was not the appropriate setting for the suit.
“Defendants raise significant questions and make meritorious arguments as to both the sufficiency of the factual pleadings and the Court’s jurisdiction over these Defendants,” wrote O’Grady, a President George W. Bush appointee. “The Amended Complaint includes many rote statements of law and conclusory allegations which fall short of satisfying the pleading standard.”
Nunes had sought $9.9 million in damages from Fusion GPS, its founder Glenn Simpson and a nonprofit watchdog group, Campaign for Accountability. Nunes claimed he was a victim of “active, coordinated and ongoing corruption, fraud and obstruction of justice” by the defendants. He said the alleged campaign against him was due to his investigation on the Intelligence panel into the firm’s role in raising allegations over Trump’s ties to Russia.
Fusion GPS was the firm that produced the Steele dossier, which was the result of a project for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The document, named for its author, former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, produced raw intelligence on connections between Trump and his allies and Russia.
Nunes said in his suit that the defendants targeted him with a litany of ethics complaints and negative publicity after he challenged the dossier’s veracity.
O’Grady said in his ruling that he would allow an adjusted version of the suit to be filed within 30 days, but that Nunes would have to steer clear of violating a federal law against court filings that are frivolous or unsupported by evidence.
Nunes’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.
Of course Nunes’s office didn’t respond. He had his ass handed to him by a judge appointed by George W. and doesn’t know what to say.

Andrew Gillum linked to meth overdose incident in Miami Beach hotel
Andrew Gillum, Tallahassee’s telegenic former mayor and the 2018 Democratic nominee for Florida governor, was involved in a meth overdose incident early Friday morning in a Miami Beach hotel room.
The tawdry incident was an embarrassing and devastating blow to Gillum, a long-serving former city commissioner and mayor who still harbored ambitions of becoming governor or holding some other high office.
A Miami Beach Police Department report says officers were called to a West Avenue hotel around 1 a.m. and found Gillum there with two other men, one of whom was being treated for a possible drug overdose. Gillum was too inebriated to speak with officers…
Married with three children, Gillum has maintained a high profile since his bitter loss two years ago to Republican Ron DeSantis. After capturing the national spotlight during the campaign, he launched an ambitious effort to register voters ahead of this year’s election.
He is a frequent face on CNN and has appeared as a panelist during recent Democratic primary coverage. He also recently appeared on the HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
Last year, his name surfaced as a possible running mate for Sen. Elizabeth Warren, then a top contender for the Democratic nomination for president. In 2016, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign deployed him in key states, and his name surfaced as one of her possible vice president picks.
