Charlie sees his friend Ralph 3 days before the end of lent and Ralph looks all down in the dumps.
“He Ralph, what’s the matter, you look upset?”
“Well I am, I failed lent this year.”
“Oh?” Charlie said, “What happened?”
“Well, you know how my wife and I said we would give up sex this year and we almost made it, then yesterday she dropped a can of pork and beans, bent over to pick it up and looking at her I lost it, I took her right then and there.”
Charlies laughs “Well that shouldn’t be any big deal, they’re not going to excommunicate you are they?”
“No, but they’ll never let us back in that Safeway again. We’re banned for life.”
