According to Trivia Today (triviatoday.com) nearly 28 sets of Legos are sold every second during the Christmas season.

I’m dating myself but I remember Lincoln Logs made of wood, not plastic and Tinkertoys.

Lincoln Logs were developed by John Lloyd Wright, son of Frank around 100 years ago.  Originally made of redwood, they switched to plastic in the 1970s but have reverted to wood.  They are now made in Maine, which seems appropriate to me considering how rustic and filled with trees that state is.

Tinkertoys also was born about 100 years ago and is now available in the original wood and plastic.  I remember some high end sets having electric motors to create moving models.

Now I imagine most kids prefer something electronic like Sims if they are going to build something.

I am not so sure that Pence could accomplish the level of destruction for America and its reputation that Trump has.  If Trump were to be fired (either quit under duress a la Nixon or impeached, the far less likely of the two) I don’t think the Republicans would back him like they have Trump.  The way they’ve backed Trump you wonder if there aren’t a lot of pictures of Republicans with goats out there.
