I want to wish everyone happy holidays.
That term is not disrespecting Hanukkah (or Chanukah if you prefer) which is celebrated from the evening of December 2 to the evening of December 10. Nor is it disrespectful to those that celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday (Advent December 2 through December 24, Christmas, December 25 or if you are Orthodox, January 7). If you are celebrating any of those holidays in a secular manner I doubt that you would feel there is any way being waged on you.
I wish you happy holidays and if you think that’s mean spirited then so be it. Be a Scrooge or Grinch or maybe a hybrid, a green Scrooge.
