As a gesture of “affection” toward the Catalan people, the Spanish government left Madrid and held their weekly meeting today in Barcelona but the crowds gathered to shout “Sortir! (Get out!)”

The national government, distrusting of the Catalan police, Mossos d’Esquadra, reinforced the city with the national police riot squad.
When a government has to use riot police to protect it, it is a sign that denying the Catalan people the right to self determination cannot last much longer.
