False accusations are horrible from the aspect that it gives certain credence to claims by far too many who have committed sexual assaults. It’s like dropping a drop of milk into a clear glass of water; just the one drop changes the water completely as to appearance. It’s still 99.99% water but it changes ones perception.
So too, when you have one false accusation it taints the overwhelming majority of true accusations. It allows far too many who are already predisposed to believe people like Trump to believe him. And that’s a tragedy.
