Biden calls for more gun control before GOP takes House, says ‘sick’ to allow semi-automatic weapon sales…

“It’s easy to blame guns when you are in denial about the real causes of violent crime. Its caused by a culture of irresponsibility and contempt for human life. Its caused by allowing the dangerously mentally ill to remain un-institutionalized and career criminals to remain un-incarcerated. Its caused by the culture of some groups only being able to resolve disagreements with violence. Its caused by the decades of Hollywood’s and the music industry’s glorification of violent perpetrators. It’s caused by a prevalence within the culture of some sub-groups of contempt for the basic assumptions which underlie descent society; respect law and order, faith, acceptance of diversity of thought and beliefs, self-sacrifice, self reliance, personal responsibility and a rejection of victimhood as an excuse for antisocial actions. Until America embraces all that the most on the left rejects, the violence will continue and escalate.”

Critics erupt on Biden after ‘sick’ comment on semi-automatic gun purchases: ‘Sheer ignorance’
Biden told reporters that the purchase of semi-automatic weapons had ‘no socially redeeming value’

Prominent Twitter users pointed out that semi-automatic weapons typically include handguns, rifles, and shotguns, which account for a large swathe of the gun sales in the U.S.

“So essentially all guns are on the Big Guy’s chopping block,” Hollywood actor James Woods tweeted.

“Wow. Are there any guns Biden would not ban?” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton asked.

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said that Biden was “maligning most gun owners” with his stance on firearm purchases and noted that Americans rejected gun control measures floated by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
