Suspect Kills Wife At Dentist Office In Colonial Heights, TN; Good Guy With A Gun Shoots Suspect

Sheriff Jeff Cassidy told News Channel 11 a woman is dead after a shooting at a dentist office in Colonial Heights and the suspect is in the hospital.

According to Sheriff Cassidy, the husband went into the dentist office and shot his wife. The sheriff says a bystander, with a carry permit, shot the suspect and held him until authorities arrived.

The wife died from her injuries at a nearby hospital.

The sheriff is calling the bystander a hero.

The suspect is currently being treated for gunshot wounds at a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

In Blue states an armed Samaritan can get into trouble while stopping a crime.
Many laws have been enacted which limit actions by armed citizens in defense of life or property.
It’s a good idea to check your own state laws. While common sense would indicate a heroic action, the government tries hard to keep itself as the only means of defense available to the citizen. In some cases police are minutes away when seconds count…

So, DF, what you are saying is the bystander – not knowing what the shooter was going to do, without seeing the gun – should have guessed that the shooter was going to kill his wife and shoot him before he did it?
