Thats true, but until 1974 they were called……..Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Frida by their manager Stikkan Anderson, so in 1974 they appear in the festival as ABBA which they won with Waterloo.
It was Stikkans idea to change their “name” to ABBA, as he got tired of calling for them all by their christian names when doing gigs and rehearsals etc etc….so they became ABBA
The men were in a group were called Hep Stars and the girls sung separately
