Navratilova has said while she agrees with Williams she feels that Williams shouldn’t have protested during the match.
I would disagree with Navratilova. By protesting during the match, whether she planned it that way or not, she brought a laser focus to the issue and the powers that be in the WTF are looking at issue with, I hope, more than just paying lip service.
Williams showed her class by her words at the award ceremony when she praised Osaka and talked about how Osaka just played well and that was why Osaka won.
Congratulations to Osaka and a hearty You go girl! Serena.
