This article is long and rambling. It would be improved by sticking to the topic, namely European attitudes. All the talk of Trump obfuscates the issue.

As or the question that was asked in ten unnamed countries, it tells us little because people who believe in honoring international law to provide asylum to refugees at the same time want all migration stopped from the Middle East and Africa as that will mean there is no war in Syria nor poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa.
