While a decent movie and overall well acted, this film didn’t have the chutzpah of some of the other great science fiction films; E.T., Close Encounters, Star Wars, Star Trek, Men In Black to name but a few that hoover around the top of the list. Shannon is a good actor that I fist saw in Boardwalk Empire and the same with Sparks. I felt that there were some very good actors in this cast; Shepard, Dunst, Driver, that were under utilized. Not a bad film but there are better ones out there.
