The Garlic Festival was a gun-free zone. There was even security in place to make sure that it stayed a gun-free zone. California has an “assault weapons” ban, a Red Flag Law, a ten-day waiting period on gun purchases, a “good cause” requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, a background check requirement for ammunition purchases, and more.
Isn’t this the common sense gun control you have been asking for?

According to the CDC there are 120.5 guns per 100 people. . . yes, more guns than people in the U.S. and the U.S. has the highest rate of gun violence of any 1st world nation, but gun nuts refuse to see any correlation.
Gun nuts tell us we need more guns. As I’ve noted before, this is like throwing grease on a fire to put it out. There is no logic to that contention, there is only the NRA bribing Republican law makers to insure that the 120.5 per 100 people remains the same or increases.
